For 75 years we have been embracing our community and we will be celebrating during the month of September. Please come visit us! It is open to provide the community with a resource for healing and inspiration. Additionally, as a bookstore, Bibles and all published documents from the Christian Science Publishing Society are available for purchase.
Our Reading Room is located at 69 E. Fourth Avenue in Downtown San Mateo and is open Monday through Saturday from NOON to 4:00 PM. It is a friendly place to explore the Bible, use Bible study aids, and read Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy as well as her other writings. We have books, magazines, and CDs on Christian Science that may be purchased or borrowed. The current weekly Bible Lesson (our Sunday sermon) and the Weekly Christian Science Monitor are also available for reading, for on-line listening or for purchase.
Computers are set up for studying, reading, or listening to inspiring articles and talks. You can also browse through historical archives of helpful articles dating back to the 1800s. We also have a special area for Bible research with several Bible concordances, dictionaries, translations, commentaries, thesauruses, and other Bible study aids.
Our staff is here to answer any questions you may have… but you are free to explore our many resources on your own, including our Sales and Study areas and our Lending Library.
